I cant believe it is week nine already!!!

I am in perfect pretras reading group, this week all the books were about art. The books were Painting the Town, Earth Paints, Form corned beef to captain cook, Wild and Wacky: The art fraser williamson, Kuru Huna: The art of Reweti Arapere, chunky chalks, and The art of Aute. I chose the book called chunky chalks, I chose this book because I wanted to learn more about chalks, The journl book I chose was about kids making their own chalk for hopscotch and other stuff like that at school. My favourite part was when they made the chalk. It was different creat task as last week (week eight). In create task one we needed to make a copy of a goggle doc and write ten facts about your journal that you picked. Their was two create task in create task one, So the other create task was we needed to make a poster, slideshow, animation, and etc. we had to add the facts in the canva.

Create task one:

Full sentence answer example: The iron found in the soil gave aboriginal artists their original colour palette.
This is how to make chalk, first we need to tip two cups of plaster of paris into a container.
Then we measured three quarters of a cup of water and poured it slowly into the fine, white powder.
Then you put two tablespoons of dye into the mixture.
Then we stirred the mixture quickly until it was smooth and creamy. With no lumps.
Then we needed to put it in a plastic bag. Then we rolled up the side to squeeze out all the air.
Then we need to leave it alone for the next day. Hope you enjoy your crayon.
Chalk is good for hopscotch and activities.
Chalk is a fine grained white limestone or micrite.
Powdered chalk is used in toothpaste and stomach medicines.
Chalk is also used for rubber, paint and stuff like that.

I decieded to blog all the create task together. It was a different create task as last week ( week eight ). In create task two we needed to use the art style from our journal, and we needed to create a digital art piece on a goggle drawing. I had to draw a chalk because my jornal was called and was about chunky chalks. And then we had to write a pharagraph underneath explaining what materials would be needed to create this in real life.

I cant beleive it is week eight so quick.

I am in perfect petras, This week all the books were different like there was non fiction books, fiction book and culture books. There were books like Nian The New Year Monster, The Green Team, The Polish Refugge Children, My Turangawaewae, Bells and Butterflies and Uncle Tino.I chose the book called the polish refugee children,It was about a kid who was from polish and they had a war. So the kids had to move out riding a train. I liked the book, my favourite part was when they met their family again after the war was finished. I am blogging create task one. It was the same create task as last week ( week seven ) . In create task 1 we needed to list all the characters in the story then we needed to chose one that you like. Then you needed to write at least two sentences about why you chose the character and why do you like the character. Lastly we needed to write five adjectives.

I like this character because she was the most main character. Her history was really interesting and sad, because her parents died in the USSR and his youngest brother died in Iran.

I am blogging create task two aswell. I am blogging create task two. In create task two it was the same as last week ( Week seven). In create task two we needed to  get a paper that the teacher printed out, then we needed to write facts from two facts from the complementry text, another two facts from challenge text, and lastly two facts from scaffolding text. And in the middle we needed to write the title.

I am in perfect Petra’s reading group. This week all the books different there were like dancing,art and stuff like that. There were like kicking and punching, Kakahu pekepeke, The korero of the Waka, weaving tukutuku, painted Hoe,  dances of samoa, taonga puoro and dance Animoe. I chose the book  called Not just kicking and punching it was about Jit-Jitsu, Karate, and Taek wondo, I liked my book it was really interesting my favourite part was when you earn belts, badges and other awards. I am blogging create task one and two. In create task 1 we needed to make a copy of a thinking wheel than we needed to fill out the boxes of questions the questions were I wonder, I see, I think, I imagine, and I know.

Hello again,

I am blogging create task two now. In create task two we needed to write ten facts about your book, scaffolding text, challenge text and complementary text. Then we needed to make a flip video, from our 10 facts we needed to get 5 facts and put it on our flip video. We needed to decorate the video and after that we needed to record.

Description: it was really fun but it was kinda frustrated because I didn’t know how to save it so it got deleted two times, and then I needed to do it again.

Hello bloggers,

I am in Perfect petras group.This week the journals were about famous people but differnt people then last week. The famous people were Anna Frank ( War Nazis) , Amelia Earhart ( first person to fly a plane ), Thomas Edison ( light bolb inventer), Graham Alexander Bell ( bell inventer ), Walt disney ( invented micky mouse ) Martin Luther King JR. Last week I chose Anne frank it was really sad, But this time I chose Amelia Earhart It was about a women, who was the a first women to fly a plane across the Atlantic ocean. I liked the story, My favourite part was when she disappeared but it was really sad. Today I am blogging create task three. In create task 3 we needed to do canva. Then we had to chose to do a poster, video and other stuff like that. Than we needed to put the create task one and two questions together and put all the questions in canva. We needed to add photos and other details.

WALT: understand specific language features , structures, grammar of Narrative texts

Hi bloggers,

In Reading I chose a book it was called the day that my dad stoled my Christmas Present. It was about a girl who got a Christmas preasent( hot- air-ballon) but her dad wanted it so she gave it to her Dad and then his dad lost the ballon. And they went to find the ballon. In create task 1 we needed to fill out the boxes using our 5 senses from the slide from the last week. In create task 2 we needed to chose either draw your setting from a paper or recreate it using goggle drawing.

Reflection:

it was really fun I enjoyed it. It was mostly easy.

I think I have learnt about specific language features.

sorry it is in the last slide ( week 2) the other slides was week 1 create task. We couldnt put our create task 2 because I drawed it in a paper.\

WALT use our prior Knowledge to make connections with the text

Hi bloggers,

In readng week 9 we only had one create task because at monday up to wedesday we did must dos so thats why we only had 1 create task. We only  go to do reading only at thursday and friday. Reading was about Matariki feast we watched videos I watched how to make a sandwich in space and how to run in space I chose how to run in space because there isn´t Gravity in space so I was intrested. After that we got to do our own comic ( called Pixton) about Matariki feast in their honour.
