Cybersmart WK10 T1

Hello bloggers😄,

Im bogging my cybersmart today.The last two weeks we have been learning goggle meet for student summit. Student summit is when you learn somehting from other school students. I  was very happy to be at student summit last year 🤣.  Last year we had to go to a school to learn, but this year it had changed,  by doing it on goggle meet. Goggle meet has been new to us so we had to learn alot. Last Wednesday,  we have been learning about how to mute and unmute, how to raise hand if you have a question, and chat. Today  we have learnt how to join a meeting and we had to review what we have done last Wednesday.

DESCRIPTION: It was very fun and intresting.

It’s me ABBY!!

Cant you believe that its week ten 🤯 the time is so fast, enough of that talking.  So I’m blogging my reading today.This week my group ( the cookie monsters ) had to read the book called ancestors. Its about a dad, and two boys called Harry and John went to  camping at the woods/forest, and the dad told them a spooky story at night  that made Harry scared. Then when they went in there tents, Harry had to do the loo but he didn’t go because he was to afraid to go by himself outside,  because he had nighmares about the story. The funny part was he accidently  peed his sleeping bag at the morning😄.  He found out that his sleeping bag was wet, his brother John  bullied him of what he did.Then Harry said that he can climb a tree better than him, then they decieded to  climb a high tree. While they were climbing the tree John  was faster than Harry. But suddenly John slipped and nearly fell of the  tree, but Harry caught him just in time and saved his life. By the way it was the same create task as last week!! My first create task was to make a copy of a goggle drawing and fill out the questions/boxes, and they were, main characters, supporting characters, title, author, problem and the solution.

DESCRIPTION: It was really really easy and fun.

Im blogging my second create task today. So for my second create task  I decided to do the comic strip again. first we had to make a comic about your book, but only key events ( not the whole thing ) we had to add the setting scene, introducing characters, the problem and the solution.

Im blogging my third create task now. So in my third create task, we had to make a copy of a goggle drawing first and fill out the questions like see, smell, taste, hear, feal/touch/emotion, place time, mood, and weather. Then secound we had to make a copy of a goggle drawing and had to make a scene from our book. we had to try to make it with shapes, lines and etc, but if it was to hard we could use images/photos.

Reading WK9 T1

WALT:No Walt this week bloggers!!

Hello bloggers😆,

Last week we finished swimming, so this week we had returned to our usaul routines. By the way I’m blogging my first reading create task. This week my group ( The Cookie Monster ) had to read the book called The parapara Dectectives. So far we read up to three pages. It is about a girl called Rebecca and her friend called Bodillon, who  founded  lots of fantail birds at the reserve park. They were trying to find the problem, guess what the problem was a sticky sap plant. The end for now.  There was four create task, we had to finish at least 2 create tasks. My first create task was a story map. First we had to make a copy of a goggle drawing, then we had to fill out the questions/boxes. They were main characters, supporting characters, setting, problem, solution, title, and the illustrater. By the way we had to do on a DLO ( meaning: Digital learning object. I chose Canva of course!!😄

DESCRIPTION: It was really fun and interesting!!!

Im blogging my second create task now. So in my second create task I decided to try something new!! first for my task I had to make a copy of a goggle drawing and had to fill out the questions/boxes, like see, smell, taste, hear, feel/touch/emotion, place, time, mood and weather. Then we had to make a another copy of a goggle drawing and make a scene in your story, and try to make it with shapes, poly line, and curve tools, but if it was to hard we were allowed to do it with images. But I tryed it both.

DESCRIPTION: it was really fun and tricky/hard.

Long time no see, I’m very excited to blog today!! Last week and this week we have been going to king swim school to do swimming. So far I have really enjoyed it. We got to ride the bus aswell. So this week our routine was different than usual, we had to do the taskboard at the afernoon.. The choice of the create tasks was  reading, writing, two  maths, Te reo, cybersmart and Cybersmart For this week my first create task that I choice was Cybersmart because I thought the task would be intresting. So for the cybersmart I had to make a copy of a slide, then we had to fill out the questions, the questions were about our saftey rules about how to treat your chromebook, then the secound was doing a chrombook saftey quizz.

DESCRIPTION: It was very fun and easy!!

I am blogging my create task today, The create task was kind of the same as last week! At the end of this week we had to chose four tasks but we had to compete two of them. This week my group ( COOKIE MONSTERS) had to read the book called Elephants ( this term we are reading about geographic animals ). The elephant book was about elephants facts, habitat, what they eat, and other etc. The first create tasks I chose was making a charcter card in goggle drawing. We had to add the text, name, and the charcters description. I chose to get a image from google and then I inserted it to the slide and then I chose to polyline it, After I got to change the colours and the background.

I am  blogging my reading, Im really excited to blog today and hope you enjoy my blog post!! I’m in with Miss Hanrahan group in reading this year , but we had to make another group with separate  year fives,year six and anotother one group  of year sixes, Im in the year sixes group. Also we had time to make our group names, my group name was called cookie monsters. Enough talking about that so in reading my group needed to read about Orangutan it’s about Orangutans habitat, food, urine/pee, and other etc stuff. So this week we are reading about geographic books.  first we had to read that book, suprisingly the book was seventeen pages and I had to read it all!! It was really long but it was fun and exciting. So for the create tasks it was the same create task as last week we had to chose two of them out of four.I chose the same one for my first create task. It was to do canva and record yourself reading your own book, and you needed to add details like the background, maybe music and etc.

Reading WK4 T1

Hello bloggers,

Long time no see, Im really excited to blog today, this is my first time blogging this year (2025). Im a year six now, exciting news Im a houseleader!!!.By the way I’m blogging my first reading create task. So this week we are not doing book choices.First we had to see the I want  poems, Rhyming poems, Simile poems videos/slides. ( This week we learning about poems ). There was four create tasks, but we had to do two of them.Secoundly I chose a create task to do out of the four,and decided to do Canva because its been a long time using it also I love Canva. Then we had  to record ourselves reading our poem, then we had to decorate our Canva video with images, backgrounds, maybe music and etc.

DESCRIPTION: I loved doing it hopefully I do it again!!

Im blogging my second create task. First I decided to do a Dobre express task, If you don’t know I will explain it. This year we started to do a new app called Dobre Express, Dobre Express is kinda like Canva. In the app we can do backgrounds, generate images/characters and etc. Its really fun and awesome ( you should try it out). Enough talking about that so for my second create task , for year sixes  and year fives we had to use Dobre express but the year fours got to do goggle drawing app. So for me I had to do Dobre express. In the app we had to AI one of our scenes about our poem, we had to add background, characters, and other etc.

DESCRIPTION: It was really fun but it was hard because it was basically my first time using the app.

SLG WK9 T4

At the start of this week we started to do SLG meaning of Summer Learning Journey, Last year we did Summer Learning Journey aswell, Wigram primary school came 2nd place for the most blogs, I got really shocked and happy. This is my first summer learning journey blog this year 2024. I will show you how  summer learning journey works so every school in Aotearoa students had to fill out a pages of questions that means that they are doing SLJ everyone had to participate.Every day a task will come out, that we can do, so we do SLJ everyday!!  My first create task that I finish was filling out questions on a slide called memory book, there was a lot of pages like All about my friend, All about my teacher, My school day, So much learning, The best books I have read this year, Moments to remember, Im really going to miss, My summer plans, Next year, We got to make our own, ( three page)  and at the end is our dear future life.

I went to canterbury/centrals at wedesday for shotput it was so fun I have enjoyed it, there was alot of people. Canterburies were the same place as zones. I had to go with my mom and brother. Also I have offically turned ten I go alot of presents. So enough of that talking, I am blogging reading today.This week it has been the last week of book week so I have offically finished the book wonder.We had to read it up to extraordinary, but no one to see -the  walk home ( the end). I will sumarise it so he went to camp but he was worried because he cant sleep well when his mom is not there but he went, he was watching a movie together with every class, but then when he went to the toilet with his friend Jack he met a another school people and they started a fight and then  after the fight he lost his hearing aids and he got really worried. After the camp he went to his mom and then the principal told her everything, and then thats what happened.. So in the create tasks their was two must dos and others were can dos for our secound must dos we got to chose our tasks. First we had to read our wonder book to the end then we had to watch/read our scaffolding text, challenge text, and complementry text. Our first must do was to make a copy of a slide and complete it to the end. The topic was about Wonder we had to fill out these questions, the book cover, Book title, Author, Illustrater, Genre, the book star rate, I rated this book because, character name, personality, physical appearence, how I feel about the character, and etc. And our secound must do is the questions, and our can dos we got to chose, Identify: is the definition, create:Movie trailer, Examine: about your favoruite charcter, and design is about drawing.
